A.Hak 3-in. Ultrasound PigletA.Hak 3-in. Ultrasound Piglet

A.Hak Industrial Services has recently launched its new 3-in. pipeline and furnace inspection systems, available for projects worldwide. This most recent development is part of a new range of faster tools with XYZ mapping possibilities.

The first pilot projects are already executed successfully. The new range of fast Ultrasound Inspection tools is an addition to the well proven High Resolution Piglet tools, which have already been renowned for years and are available for diameter ranges between 4 and 46 in.
All A.Hak Industrial Services tools are free swimming inspection pigs which can be used for all kinds of piggable and non-piggable pipelines such as lines with mitered or back-to-back bends with tight radii. Due to the real time monitoring of the inspection data and the possibility of A.Hak Industrial Services  executing its own cleaning works, a successful data collection is mostly guaranteed.

A.Hak Industrial Services provides a complete range of integrated  solutions to the oil, gas and petrochemical industries and maintains offices around the world. From design and ongoing maintenance to end-of-life, through the company’s Pipeline, Inspection, Storage Tank and Industrial Service lines, A.Hak can assure maximum plant integrity and sustainable operation.

Pigs Unlimited Square Edge Utility PigPigs Unlimited Square Edge Utility Pig

The newest product addition to the Pigs Unlimited line of pipeline cleaning pigs is the Square Edge solid cast utility pig. The Square Edge combines the functionality and features of some of our most effective cleaning pigs.

The main feature that sets it apart is the square edged sealing discs on the body of the pig. The square edge design provides a high seal in the pipeline, provides more aggressive cleaning power and sets this pig apart from others in the market today. The pig features a solid cast construction which allows added flexibility, a lighter weight than conventional steel pigs, and also eliminates the need for any spare components.

The Square Edge pig is constructed of a high-grade abrasion and chemical resistant polyurethane material that is versatile across many applications, and is offered in various durometers to adjust the level of flexibility. The rear sealing cup provides the sealing and driving power needed to move the pig through the pipeline, and a hollow core allows even distribution of pressure along the body of the pig.

ROSEN’s RoCD UT-C ServiceROSEN’s RoCD UT-C Service

Ultrasonic inspection technology is well accepted by the pipeline integrity industry and is an established method for detecting and measuring cracks or crack-like features. To exceed industry standards, ROSEN has developed a robust and flexible sensor carrier system which provides superior precision and resolution. Customized piezo electric probes are designed and manufactured in-house.

ROSEN’s refined and certified data evaluation process and full access to A-Scan data enables the company’s analysts to perform high quality assessment on time. The accuracy of the results is supported by the company’s large in-house crack database and repository. For the safe operation of liquid pipelines the potential presence of various types of cracking: like stress corrosion cracking, axial fatigue cracks, hook and toe cracks in the pipe body and in the seam weld area and the associated heat affected zones need to be evaluated.

ROSEN’s RoCD UT-C service provides the utmost sensitivity and spatial resolution for detection and sizing of cracks, and is a solid platform for successful and effective pipeline integrity management. All project components from the inspection request through the final report are part of the service, and because ROSEN provides flexible solutions, there are various service options and add-ons to choose from.

T.D. Williamson Multiple Dataset Platform (MDS)

T.D. Williamson Multiple Dataset Platform (MDS)The pipeline industry is constantly innovating: moving from good to better to best. That includes developing and refining technologies to assess one of the most significant challenges to pipeline integrity: mechanical damage.

To overcome the limitations of running individual inspection technologies to detect threats, global pipeline service provider T.D. Williamson developed the Multiple Dataset platform, or MDS.

The MDS platform includes:
• XYZ Mapping – Locates anomalies relative to the centerline of the pipeline.
• Deformation Technology – Identifies anomalies as dent.
• Low Field Magnetic Flux Leakage – Identifies re-rounding of a dent.
• High Resolution Magnetic Flux – Identifies volumetric metal loss in a dent.
• SpirALL MFL – Identifies axially oriented metal loss, or gouging, within a dent.

MDS harnesses the combined capabilities of each technology, making it possible for the platform to provide operators with a comprehensive picture of the pipeline — during a single run. The result of which is not only enhanced detection, but thorough characterization of pipeline threats.

Enduro Dual-Diameter, Multi-Diameter PigsEnduro Dual-Diameter, Multi-Diameter Pigs

Enduro Dual-Diameter and Multi-Diameter pigs are designed to traverse pipeline systems with varying diameter changes and provide a quality cleaning, batching or purging service. The butterfly cups and discs are designed to collapse in the smaller diameters and expand in the larger diameters while maintaining an excellent seal. Dual and Multi-Diameter pigs can be equipped with brushes, blades and magnets to enhance the removal of debris.

Line size dictates how the brushes and blades are mounted to the pig. Brushes will be embedded into the urethane discs for lines smaller than 16-in. in diameter. Pipelines 16-in. and larger will require the use of cantilever arm springs with the brush or blade attached. Both styles will provide 360-degrees of internal pipe wall coverage in every diameter the pig passes through. Sizes ranging from 3×4-in., 6×10-in., 12×24-in., 36×48-in. and all ranges in between are available and can be designed to pass 1.5D bend radii.

Dual and Multi-Diameter pigs can also be equipped with gauging plates and transmitters for tracking and locating purposes. All components can also be replaced as required. Pipeline parameters and project objective will dictate how the pig will be assembled.
