Show management relays five steps to help utility professionals and utility contractors prepare and make the most of their time at the exhibition, which targets the electric, telecommunications/cable, natural gas, water and wastewater sectors.
ICUEE, the International Construction and Utility Equipment Exposition, is also known as The Demo Expo and is the largest event for the utility industry, owned and produced by the Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM). The show brings together utility professionals to gain comprehensive insights into the latest technologies, innovations and trends affecting their industry.
Plus: New outdoor “Fuel Stop” (with Wi-Fi) & improved navigation aids
New show transportation options include golf cart taxis and Demo Express shuttles as well as improved intra-show shuttles. A new “Fuel Stop” outdoors in Area Q offers a place to sit down and network, with Wi-Fi, charging stations, beverages and show information.
The 5 planning tips:
Register in advance to save time and money
Save 50 percent off the badge fee if you register by August 21. New: You can now register via any mobile device. And a new “housing magnet” on the show website scans for real-time room availability and rates. Attendees can purchase immediately, saving the time and hassle of going to a second website to complete the transaction.
Demos, demos, demos
ICUEE features numerous outdoor equipment demonstrations. Attendees can examine and compare the newest technologies in underground, at-ground and aerial equipment and test-drive them in job-like conditions.
The Demo Stage, presented by Benjamin Media Inc., brings an added dimension, with 20-minute interactive segments highlighting performance merits of a product/service in actual use or simulated situation.
The 2-mile ICUEE Ride & Drive test track expands the show’s hands-on concept to on-road commercial vehicles. Attendees can take to the “open road” to better evaluate trucks, truck engines and components.
The show floor also features specialized exhibit pavilions for fleet management, safety and green utility.
Take advantage of best-practices education
Attendees will find a more diverse and targeted education schedule than ever before, including industry certification programs and exams. Leading industry groups are bringing more than 60 targeted education sessions to ICUEE 2015 to provide attendees with the latest utility industry knowledge and best practices.
Online show maps & exhibitor directory make planning show itinerary easy
Attendees can make efficient use of their time onsite by using the interactive online exhibitor directory (with show maps) to create a personalized itinerary pre-show. The directory is searchable by company name, type of product or market area, geographic location, booth number and location on the show floor. The New Products and Technologies preview section spotlights the innovative products and services that will be on display. Attendees can schedule demos, exhibitors, education and meetings.
Detailed show maps, distributed pre-show and onsite, will provide added assistance to navigate the show floor.
Download the show’s mobile app to stay connected – Play the “Demo Derby” game
Attendees can download their personalized show itinerary to keep track of their schedule and make changes. The online show maps will help attendees locate booths faster. Attendees will also receive real-time planning alerts from show management.
The app features a new “Demo Derby” interactive game: attendees can earn points from participating exhibitors for the chance to win prizes, including daily and grand prize drawings. Details will be posted on the ICUEE website.
